This session provides an overview of the Security Summit Initiative and the tax community partnership that enacted critical safeguards for 2016. Plans now are underway for 2017. Presenters will discuss emerging issues on identity theft and the role of tax preparers in the 2017 planning and in educating their clients about safeguarding personal data.
